The Insider.com’s Nicole Dabeau got an exclusive sit-down with the ladies of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” during their visit to the Sirius XM studios in NYC, and the girls got to dish on a variety of subjects, including their fiery season premiere episode.

With news of the show being hailed as the highest rated season premiere in Bravo’s history with 2.87 million viewers, Jacqueline Laurita gave her outlook on why they were able to come back with a bang.

“I kind of thought that might happen,” Jacqueline said as laughter erupted from the ladies. “Only because it was a little crazy.”

Now crazy can be considered an understatement if one were to view what transpired during the episode. Tension brewed between Teresa Giudice and her brother Joe Gorga, who’s husband to current housewife Melissa Gorga, due to some sibling miscommunication at Joe’s youngest son Giuseppe‘s christening. Things boil out of control as Joe erupts in a fit of rage and Melissa broke it down like only a devoted wife could.

“I think everyone reaches their breaking point,” Melissa said. “At the time, certain things went on and it just was too much.”

When the women shared their thoughts on the Arnold Schwarzenegger affair scandal and how they would handle it, many of them easily agreed with Teresa’s perspective. “There’s always two sides,” she mentioned. “But I would never stay with a cheater.”
